The Tool Library’s poultry processing trailer makes at-home chicken processing more accessible for small farms and households by providing a simple, user-friendly setup that can be operated by just one or two people. As a piece of specialized agricultural equipment, it plays an important role in strengthening the local food system by helping community members raise and process their own poultry locally. Funded through a Rural Community Grant from AgWest Farm Credit, the trailer comes fully outfitted with the tools and equipment needed for efficient, safe chicken processing.
